I welcome the opportunity to mentor and support new PhD students and early-career researchers (see Research Lines & Projects), providing them with opportunities for interdisciplinary collaboration, academic publication, and professional development.
New researchers are also given the opportunity to benefit from a vibrant and supportive intellectual community. I am the coordinator of the Social and Political Theory Research Group at Universitat Pompeu Fabra and a founding member of the Barcelona Network for Critical Thought and Social Research. As methodologically pluralistic groups, we engage with the social sciences and diverse critical theoretical and philosophical traditions—whether analytic or continental, critical theory or pragmatism—incorporating a variety of methodologies.
Depending on their interests, PhD students and emerging scholars who join these groups can become part of a community, where they are encouraged to pursue valuable research and make meaningful contributions to the field. Members of the group have supervised over 40 PhD theses. PhD workshops and events, such as the Early Inaugural Lecture, are an important and regular part of the group’s intellectual life.
